Synopsis

When we look at Climate change and the response from Industry, it is clear that there are some leaders in the field who are embracing the transition to a low carbon economy but a lot more needs to be done. There are two immediate apparent conflicting goals which need to be reconciled in order for Industry to adapt to Climate Change, One goal to make a profit (the reason for the existence of the business) and the other is to minimise the environmental impacts of the activities carried out in order to make that profit. Decoupling the use of energy from the growth of the organisation’s activities is one of the key elements of ensuring the energy transition is a success.
