An important daily activity is to manage the energy portfolio and set energy objectives & targets for continuous improvement. Boston Scientific have achieved over 33% energy reduction across the plant in the last 10 years while production has more than doubled in output. They now generate 73% of the site power on site and use the heat from the exhaust to supply 100% of the plant heat and the remainder of the heat is used to cool the plant via an absorbent chiller. But we want to do more!.
